The Travelling Farmers Project
We, Tanguy and Yvan, are two 23 y.o. french students in HEC Paris business school. Inspired by Jules and Tristan, who first created the project, we decided to keep the Travelling Farmers going.
For 12 months, we will help farmers in their everyday work in exchange for a bed and a plate. We will learn the ways of fishers, ranchers and cereal farmers to discover and understand the basics of a farmer's life. we will dedicate this year to somethingwhich really matters: food production, one of the only goods that we really need.
From Septembre 2016 to August 2017, our adventure will take us to Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Nicaragua, Phillipines, Laos, Nepal, and Romania.

Why this round-the-world farming trip?
Studying and working, we had the amazing opportunity to confront ourselves with various topics like mathematics, marketing, philosophy, finance, etc. However, we believe that we are disconnected with simpler on-the ground realities. Before starting our professional lives, we wish to dedicate the next year to discover the beauty of farming an the devotion it requires.
Why farming and not anything else? Because, we believe farming is the most fundamental and vital activity, there are farms almost everywhere, and we want to seize the oportunity to learn what dozens of generations have learnt before us.
To be honest, we are also fond of adventure. Going around the world is one of the last modern adventure. Through this trip, we want to discover the world, to step outside of our comfort zone, to meet great people and live unforgetable experiences. More than a common trip, we believe it to be a lifetime opportunity.
For all these reasons, we decided to spend the next year working in different farms from all types and
sizes to have a global overview of today’s agriculture, and to meet the men and women who wake up
every morning to feed 7 billion people.
